You might know about all of the rides and shows, but there are also interactive experiences available at all 4 parks that don’t seem to get much attention. All of these are included with your park admission, so try one (or all) out on your next trip! Sorcerors of the Magic Kingdom This is a fun interactive scavenger hunt! You use Merlin’s mystical map and spell cards to defeat the Disney villians. Use the clues on the map to find the Magic Portals, and the spell cards to battle! Important Details
You can find all of the details and description here. Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure Some kiddos just don’t get into exploring the World Showcase in Epcot, but this adventure will have them excited to go! This is another scavenger hunt style game, but you’re working as a secret agent to defeat Dr. Doofenshmirtz. Up to 4 guests can join forces on each mission, so this is a FANTASTIC family activity! Important Details
You can find all of the details and description here. Wilderness Explorers at Animal Kingdom Do you want to be a Wilderness Explorer just like Russell in Up? This is your chance! Earn badges for completing challenges throughout the park. This is another one that can be completed as a family or by each person individually. Important Details
You can find all of the details and description here. Jedi Training Academy at Hollywood Studios This is the only thing on the list that is NOT for the entire family. However, it is an absolute must if you have a Star Wars fan between the ages of 4-12. Your child will receive special Jedi training before facing Darth Vader or the Seventh Sister Inquisitor in a live show. There are multiple shows every day, but I would suggest arriving at the park before it opens to be near the front of the line to sign up. The spots will fill quickly! Important Details You must be between 4 and 12 years of age to participate.
You can find all of the details and description here. I hope this helps you find a new experience to enjoy on your next trip! If you have a family of 5 or more, you likely already know that everything becomes more expensive and complicated once you pass that standard 4 person family size. I have 4 kids myself, and I even created a Facebook group for families to share their own tips and ideas as well as ask for help/advice. You can check it out here! I’m going to list the most budget friendly options for large families available at Walt Disney World Resort in this post. I’ll break it down into sections based on family size. Cheapest options for a family of 5 1. Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort Many of the rooms here offer 2 queen beds and a fold down bed recommended for ages 3-9. If you book as a family of 5, you will be guaranteed the extra bed. You can find more information about this resort here. 2. Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Most rooms here offer 2 queen beds and a fold down bed recommended for ages 3-9. If you book as a family of 5, you will be guaranteed the extra bed. You can find more info about this resort here. Cheapest options for a family of 6 1. Disney’s All Star Music Family Suite These rooms offer a separate bedroom with a queen size bed. The main room has a foldout double sofa, a fold out twin chair, and a foldout twin ottoman. There are 2 big bonuses here including a second bath and a kitchenette. The suites are 520 square feet. You can find more info about the resort here. 2. Disney’s Art of Animation Family Suite These rooms offer a separate master suite with queen size bed and private bathroom. The main area has a double foldout sofa and a double Murphy bed. You have the bonus of 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette here as well, and these suites are much larger at 565 square feet. The themes include Cars, Lion King, and Finding Nemo. You can find more info about the resort here. 3. Disney’s Fort Wilderness Cabins These “rooms” are more like your own private condo! Each cabin features a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom with queen bed and twin bunkbeds, separate living room with queen size sofa bed, ONE full bathroom, outdoor deck with picnic table and charcoal grill, and private parking. The cabins are 504 square feet. You do sacrifice the extra bath offered in a family suite, but you gain a full kitchen which can end up saving money on food costs! You can find more info here. 4. 2 connecting rooms at a value resort This option can come in at a lower cost than the other 3 depending on the season you travel and discounts available. You will only be guaranteed connecting rooms if you are a family with only 2 adults and 3+ children. The benefits are that you will have 4 double size beds, 2 full baths, and 520+ square feet depending on the resort. Also, this is the only option that will fit up to EIGHT guests! There are many other options and configurations that can work for larger families, but this is my list of the most cost effective. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like a quote to see how any of these options can work for you!
